LG WM2277HW WASHER with a "LE" code. Checking on line, the most frequent problem, and a very inexpensive fix is the rotation sensor, mounted just behind the stator. So I call Lake and schedule an appointment. James V came out to my house. He made some calls and his conclusionwas : "You need a new Stator and rotor assembly " I asked "How Much" James said "$750.00 for parts and labor". I said " It is not worth it, as the machine is 9 years old and the repair is about 2/3 of the cost of a new machine". After shopping around for a replacement, I finally decided to check the washer problem myself. I found the stator and Rotor to be in perfect shape, with no signs of damage or wear and the windings Ohms were perfect. I bought the Sensor for $25.36 and put it in. The washer works perfect. This is a clear case of Lake Appliance attempting to rip me off. Why would'nt the Tech at least try the sensor, as it was the most common failure, with the LE code ? Why would he say that My Rotor and Stator needed replacement ? I expected The Tech to at least have one of these sensors, on the truck. They knew in advance what my model number and symptom was. The service call should have been the $100 + the cost of the part so at $150.00, I would have been a happy camper. I used to recommend Lake to my customers, as I am a Electric Contractor, but never again.

Shameful service. Seriously you should be ashamed of your service. Set an appointment on Friday for a Monday service call. Was told sometime between 8 and noon. No one showed up no one called. I called their office to inquire. Office person didn’t seem to care. No apology. Just asked me if I wanted to cancel. In today’s day and age with technology there’s no excuse for this nonsense. So glad I took the morning off work for this. Found another company that charges way less for initial service call.
