Lake Appliance Repair started off as a very small business back in 2005, and has grown to the largest appliance repair company in Northern California and Western Nevada, with additional service areas in Hawaii, Montana, Oklahoma, and Idaho.
It has been our goal to grow Lake Appliance Repair into the best appliance repair company in the industry.
We have worked hard to cultivate a fun, yet profitable company with a small business culture. Our company is family owned and we have several family members working in the business with us.
At Lake Appliance, we spend a lot of time, effort and money on engaging with our team. We often have bowling nights where any employee or vendor is invited to bring friends and family along. We have done camp trips, fishing trips, golf days, baseball and basketball games.
We refer to our employees as friends or workmates and treat them as equals no matter what position they hold in the company. Everyone’s birthday and start date anniversaries are celebrated along with other milestones like buying a new house or earning higher education while working for the company.

Prices
Service Charge: Our service charge ranges from $100 to $149.95, depending on your distance from our nearest technician. This charge covers the cost of bringing a highly trained technician with a fully stocked mobile service shop to your home. Our technician will provide you with a detailed estimate of the cost of labor and parts if needed. Our service charge will be waived if you accept our estimate and have us repair your broken appliance.
*Due to the increased difficulty of removing, diagnosing, and reinstalling built-in microwaves, our service charge for microwaves is an additional $60. As a result, our microwave service charge will range between $160 to $210.
Cost of Labor: Our labor charges are NOT based on an hourly rate. Operating a high-quality service company involves costs that go unseen by our customers, but are vital for performing prompt, efficient service. Some of these costs include the expense of ongoing technician training, professional testing equipment, office staff and rent, parts inventory, and much more. With Lake Appliance, you’re hiring an entire company for fast and efficient service, rather than a lone technician or handyman. That’s why our labor charges are based on industry standards for each individual type of appliance repair.
Parts: If replacement parts are necessary to complete your appliance repair, the parts will be charged in addition to the service charge and labor.
Warranty
At Lake Appliance Repair, customer satisfaction is our top concern. We stand by our work, and to prove it, we offer the following warranty on our services:
- 90 Days on Parts (warranty valid for parts we supply and install, unless specifically noted)*
- 1 Year on Labor (This length of warranty is nearly unheard of in our industry. We provide this so you can feel confident in your repair investment)
- 30 Days on Service Call
*Applies only when you have paid us directly, otherwise your warranty is only the duration of the warranty you have with the manufacturer and/or extended warranty company.
Effective May 1, 2026, our parts warranty for NEW customers changes from 5 Years to 90 Days. The 1-Year Labor Warranty and the 30-Day Service Call warranty remain unchanged.
Customers who had paid their service charge ON OR BEFORE May 1, 2026 retain their original 5-Year Parts Warranty in full.
For customers who paid their service charge AFTER May 1, 2026, they will receive the new 90-Day Parts Warranty as standard.
